Team founder, co-owner and operator Ken Poppen has been racing since 1998, when he started in the Enduro division. In his first full season, Ken finished 10th in points and had a best Enduro finish of 4th place. In 1999, Ken moved to the Bomber division where he earned the Rookie of the Year title, finishing 7th in points and winning a main event as well as four trophy dashes.

Over the next four years, Ken continued to race in the Bombers, finishing 2nd in points twice, and third once, accumulating ten main event wins as well as several heat race and trophy dash wins. Ken also racked up over 50 top 5 finishes in that timeframe. Ken now races the x86 modified. He finished 11th in points his first full season (2005) with several top 10 finishes.

Ken works at Intel Corporation as a computer hardware engineer and lives in Rancho Cordova, CA. His other interests include playing in the sand dunes, boating, and No Limit Texas Hold'em.
